Inspiration

An author sits,
writing of another world.
Her fingers scribble life into words,
painting the image of life.

Lost in the fantasy of her own world,
her hand begins to cramp.
The lone reminder that
beckons her back.

A story unfolds,
filled with mystery and wonder.
A world filled with destiny,
and tinged with magic.
A place only true writers can create.

A dragon dances in the sky,
the stars his only audience.
Brilliant like the night itself,
he watches from above.

A young girl sneaks out into the garden,
a net and bag in hand.
She scoops the stars
that have fallen to earth,
having lost their magic.
But to her, they twinkle
brighter than the
clearest of diamonds.

A beautifull princess awaits her destiny,
dreaming of what's yet to come.
The sun sits just above the horizon,
daring to drop below.
The princess watches, waiting for the unknown.

A young boy stands beside her mother,
fearful of his future.,
The old master stands before him,
beckoning him in to begin his lessons.
The boy looks up at his mother nervously.
Should he go?

An author world is whatever they make it.
Full of suspense and fantasy,
dreams and magic.
Your character wait their journey.
Where will you decide to take them?
