That's not how Steemit.com works.
There's more than one way to receive Steem rewards. You have another chance of getting some rewards by 'curation' - that means you upvote and get a share of 25% of the total reward for that post.
Give it a go. People will see that you upvote them and will be more likely to upvote your posts too.
