Keep it Stupid Simple

in #writing8 years ago (edited)

This is a quite popular principle, I have heard about ir few years ago and at first I was a little bit skeptical (as I always am) but now I understand it is a good thing in most of the cases.

First I heard about K.I.S.S in programming, but then I have faced it in other organisational activities so now I am going to apply it to writing. The reason why I am doing this is because nobody wants long articles with lack of substance so I am going to try to concentrate with I will have to transmit to you as much as I can. This is with the objective to save you a few minutes of your time reading lots of introductions and obvious stuff that everybody knows already and I hope that the quality of the content I produce will increase.

Have a wonderful day and week everybody and hear you soon with shortened articles!

Hello Andrew,
I am not a bot, I have seen a bot on here that blasts people for improper use of tags , don't be surprised if it visits you for your "steemit" tag, as this post had nothing to do with steemit. Just helping you out as I see you are new here like myself/
Until next time,
@sultnpapper

Thank you so much!

Your welcome,
I saw that you just joined in October and may not be aware of some of the unofficial or maybe official rules.Not sure what category that one falls under but I do know that has caused some controversy that is best avoided if possible. Enjoy yourself here, I'll check back on you in the future.
Until next time,
@sultnpapper

With the declining intelligence levels(or at least common sense levels) of those in modern society, I can understand why keeping it stupid simple could be useful when attempting to communicate information the masses. I have to use this strategy myself all-too-often.

I am so sad to hear that it's many times necessaryro keep it simple to be understood. In this case I prefer to limit my articles size because I know that there are a lot of people who do not want to invest their time in reading long articles so I am trying not to force people abandon my articles just because they are long :D

Thank you for coming by and commenting!

It's certainly a good theory, although if you spend a while browsing the the hot and trending lists some of the highest paid articles are also the longest and most photo rich content. Finding you way on Steemit is always going to be hard - unless you are brining something unique and interesting you are just one in a million (that's me) - so you either have to network your way up (I'm not a great people person) or reinvest your earnings to keep pushing and promoting your content.

Yes, for sure I will use the same approach soon, you are so right that is hard to find your way here on Steemit.
