A tool is just a tool

in #writing5 years ago

First of all, a cordial greeting to all who have read my articles and give me sincere support. In today's article I want to give my point of view on the tools that can be used and how wrongly we can point to a tool as bad or good when this can only be defined by the use it is given and the tool cannot decide who manipulates it. Maybe it sounds a little confusing now but as I develop the post I hope to be able to describe it in a clearer way. Well, go ahead!

Purposes of the designer and creator

When a person has an idea that allows him to create something new, he will usually do it thinking about solving a problem, in this sense the designer defines in his mind the use that the created tool should have. For example the one who created the axe to cut wood, the knife to cut meat, the pencil to write and in general when you look at a known tool immediately will come to your mind what can be done with it.

Once the tool has been created, the manufacturer must make sure that it is understood what its use will be (the purpose for which it was created) and possibly issue a manual so that those who acquire it know how to use it in what it was designed for. After this, the one who manufactures the tool is in charge of distributing it and when the tool comes out of his hands it does not depend on him that use has its creation, although he has done everything possible to define the use that will be given to him he cannot control that happens, the final buyer will be the one who will use the tool giving the utility that he considers necessary.

The right use of things.

Regardless of the purpose for which it was created a tool can always be given different uses, in this sense I say that we give good use to things when we do not abuse their nature or harm our peers and we misuse them when we do the opposite. Generally follow the instructions for use is to give good use to things but if something was created to harm others maliciously use it as the manufacturer would be misuse that in my opinion, however something that was done to do damage should not necessarily be used that way, if something that was created to do damage is used to do good then you are giving good use to that creation. If something that was done to do good is used to do harm then that creation is being misused, then we notice that the instrument is not good or bad in itself but only a tool and who has the power to use it is who can do good or evil being the one who can be catalogued as good or bad.

The bad use of the things

There are many cases throughout history in which a person has taken the knife that was created to prepare food and has stabbed another person to death, with the axe to cut wood or even a person could take a pencil and use it to make someone else lose an eye, this has happened because there are people who misuse things, no matter what tools we are talking about there will always be those who use them to hurt. If we can understand this then I raise the central point of the article. Are the tools bad or good? the answer is that their use does not depend on them, they were created for a specific use but you can not force those who use them to do right or wrong. I have to remove a tool from the market because someone uses it to do wrong? if this were put into practice there wouldn't be many tools available on the market, then the problem is not the tool but those who misuse them and if we remove the tool they will find something else to misuse, you understand this right?

If you understand, then tell me what you think of bidbots.?

When I see people arguing if these are good or if they are bad I think that neither of the two opinions are valid because this depends on the use they are given, can be harmful to the community if they are abused, or can be of great benefit if they are given the proper use. If you see that someone is abusing them even @themarkymark devoted time and effort to create the @buildawhale blacklist in which you can denounce the abusers. But those who do wrong are not the bidbots but those who give them the use that goes against the nature of their creation.

Would it be wrong for me to use bidbots in this article? If so, tell me why. If I publish quality content in which I dedicate time and effort tell me why I can not invest some money to make it a little visible. I'm not saying I'll take it to the trend but give it some visibility so others can see it. That would be wrong? then it would be better that the article is lost where no one can see it and then I have wasted my time and effort?.

I think bitbots are simply a tool created for a specific use. If many take that tool to misuse it is not the fault of the tool but of those who must create laws and enforce them so that the evildoers do not destroy the ecosystem. I think that STEEM has a lot of potential and it is still very young we must take care of this that we have now before someone closes some doors that later remove the essence of this.
