Thanks marxrab, I read all of your posts too but I don't always get a chance to comment on them. Steemit is an unusual place where your best stories are ignored and the ones that you didn't think would take off do well.
Glad to know you're reading. I'm really enjoying your story. I came here looking for story writers. It's a shame that often our best stuff is ignored. A few pieces I wrote I enjoyed writing but got no views then some I just wrote to write did great. Oh well...just gotta keep at it.
I will tell you a dirty secret about steemit. Check the votes on the post that did good and then click inside it and check the views and you'll see that it has way less views than it has votes. That's because people are voting with bots in order to get better curation rewards. People like you and me who have a rep below 57 can be nominated for @curie and if you are accepted because you have a good post then you will be given some votes, usually about 150, by @curie, and you usually get about 10 bucks out of it.
That really sucks. I was on another site that was overrun by bots. It was horrible because the bots would do comments instead. I'd get 10 comments from bots begging for likes. I hate cheaters.
