highlights the clamor to preserve cheap wealth.
it is but the most lucrative form of nepotism,
gift-wrapped into a selfless package.

generations of privileged passage,
reluctant to countenance nature's rite of passage,
fathers, forefathers even grandfathers leaned on this sacrilege.
"survival of the fittest" they say,
while dodging any measure of competition.

the degradation of society thus began,
the moment meritocracy no longer mattered,
only lineage and a good 'ole ass kissing.

what a heinous crime against the natural order of things.
