Writer's Problems.
And you're just like: This is a great idea! Let me write it!
Muse be like: Nah. Maybe you should take a nap. You look tired.
Me: I know exactly where I'm going with yhis chapter!
Also me: All you have to do is go from my brain to the screen. Come on, werds!
Don't use the book to preach. Get off the pedestal.
But, but!!! Fawk!
Werds r hard.
Hickory Mack on Facebook, hit me with a like over there, trying to build my empire. Muahahaha!
I have so much unwritten stuff in my head, scribbles throughout countless notebooks, half finished essays on dozens of topics, dream-like trances where I author the perfectly compelling argument for one or another point I feel compelled to make.
I guess in the end I'm just happy to get the 1% of it out that I do.
I once reas a quote from some famous author (don't remember who) that rrad soemthing along the lines of "If you wait to write for inspiration to strike, you'll never get anything done."
It can be hard sometimes, gotta push through! Good luck to you!
I agreed. Writer's block is no fun. I remember sitting at my kitchen table (my then young children sleeping soundly above in their warm beds) while I stare at the page. One paragraph written and yet nothing more. That night was pure anguish.
The cure for most things for me is to go work in my garden. There's always work to be done and sometimes the answers come when I least expect them.
That's how it goes sometimes, hahaha! Sometimes I'll sit for two hours and only get a page or two hammered out.
Worth the effort in the end though!
