What is Pride/Ego... It's real meaning.

Do you know what pride is?
Have you ever thought about it before?
Many people mistake many things for pride which is not true.
Respecting yourself sometimes may just cause people to gossip about you, making them say things that are not true, making them call you names, only because you don't relate with them, and if you relate with them and shit goes up they'll still not seize from talking...

Just know that you cannot satisfy any body no matter how hard you try, but try your best to do what you can and leave the rest if it won't cause you harm.
To me I'll say, pride is when you care only about your, not caring to please anybody or comfort them even when you know you can at no cost, pride is that special feeling that makes you feel like you know better than every other person which is never true and can never be true because nothing worths more than the other.
Being yourself doesn't define pride although it depends on the intent, if you're being yourself just because you're not so good at socialising, you are shy or maybe you think the people around your area may get you into trouble but you don't have a choice than to live there then that's not pride, but if you don't greet people or socialize because you think they are to little for you to say hi to, or too poor for your likening, or maybe because you think you're better than them in all ramifications; then that's Pride/Ego.
The logic of life is understanding others, you don't need to neglect every other person because they are dirty or poor or with low status compared to yours, you may also achieve/gain one or two things from them.... Hu...huh..uhu..hu you want to disagree with me right?
No you shouldn't, because that's the truth, you may also gain things, a beggar save your job by one means or the other, a mad man can help your life and even restore you status, on so many occasions; I have seen people with low status helping those with high integrity...
Even a president of a State should never look down on the poorest man in town expect he's trying to see what size of shoe he wear.
Looking down on people only bring you down, respect your self and respect others too... No matter how small they seem to be...

Respect is reciprocal...
What you give is what you get, it doesn't matter who you give it to, somehow you'll get it from someone else...
