Improve your posts with Grammarly Premium - 1 WEEK FOR FREE!

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

I wish to present to you a way of improving your writing skills in your posts. Maybe you have not heard of Grammarly?

What is it?

Grammarly touts itself as the world's leading proofreader. It checks for spelling errors, grammar, and punctuation. It provides add ons for the Chrome, Firefox and Safari browsers. Also, there is a Windows app available and a plugin for Microsoft Word.

Here's a quick video about Grammarly and it's features.

Everybody can use the free version and, while lacking the premium features, it is perfect for checking your spelling and punctuation. You need to subscribe to use the full feature set. Subscription costs $29.95 per month, $59.95 quarterly or $139.95 annually. That might seem a lot of money, but if you are writing for a living - as we all are on Steemit - it is worth it.

What features does premium have that the free version lacks?

Unfortunately, there is no free trial of the premium service. However, as I am signed up, I can share my affiliate link with you. That will give you 1 week's worth of premium - FOR FREE! I also get a free week, so it's a win win all round.

Just click the following link in Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox and sign up to get your one week's free premium Grammarly. https://gram.ly/DGvB

Let me know in the comments if you have signed up through my link and if it has helped your posts.

No, not at all....

I have a universal translator from the year 2200. It just gave me a sad face when I feed this into it. Not quite sure what it means.

definitely not.... 😬

Yep I have used it before and it really helps you when your writing an article. Nice post @gmuxx

This is great. I never realized they offered this service... I don't know how I missed it, but somehow I did. It'll be a lot easier than dusting off my Strunk & White all the time that's for sure!

I think it is awesome, it has picked up on a lot of little things in my posts. Also great for checking posts for plagiarism ;-)

Awesome tool! And, if you don't want to go premium, you can still use it for free. :)

Indeed you can. It still checks your spelling and punctuation, basic grammar too!

Nice post - we've been using Grammarly for a year or so now - it's pretty cool (it definitely helps eliminate those pesky grammar gremlins.)

I checked on the referral link, @gmuxx=))) Ups. Not done :(

Really? Try signing up with a different email account - it doesn't have to be a real one, they don't seem to check

Hmmm. I'm try=((

I only use the free version. I can't afford the premium 😭😭😭

This is a way of getting the premium free for a week

Already registered, thanks!

My pleasure.

Grammarly is very helpful. I thought my grammar was pretty good, to begin with, but it's actually improved it.

I have been putting off trying the free version for a while now. I was not expecting it to cut down so much time on my editing. Could of should have tried it sooner. As far as the paid premium part of it. Well, I just can't justify the price point at this time.

It is rather expensive but I know I am going to subscribe as I can see how much use it would be for me.

The business model they use is very interesting in picking price points. The subscription monthly is so bad if you're picking that is almost certainly a bad deal. I don’t recall the background of this being created, but I could swear it had students in mind. I would image than someone taking a writing class would be willing to pay on a month to month when needed.

Definitely. Worth trying and then going for 12 months I reckon - if it's of use to you.
