The 7 strategies to clear negative thoughts from your mind

I hope you are quite well, the last time I told you a little about how bad negative thoughts can be and how they can prevent us from achieving the success we seek.

And we know that if we do not discard them, these negative thoughts will simply be internalized and rooted more and more in us, until we become motionless and stagnate without achieving anything.

Now, I am going to share 7 strategies that I found in order to cleanse and detoxify our mind from these negative thoughts.

The first strategy is Change our body language

You should take a moment to examine yourself and see what your body language is like, do you keep stooping or do you keep a closed posture? Maybe with a frown, if this is your condition, then you are more likely to think negatively. It has been shown that maintaining inappropriate body language negatively affects your self-esteem and leads to a lack of confidence; and being in this state is much more likely to constantly have negative thoughts.

The second strategy is Talk about the subject

There are times when negative thoughts originate because we have the need to communicate emotions or feelings, it is never good to keep everything to themselves, as it is as if we are carrying more and more weight, eventually we can not bear the burden. Sometimes it is very useful to put those thoughts in audible words, which helps us to see them from another perspective and try to solve them in a better way.

The third strategy is Try to empty your mind for 1 minute

Usually we have our mind running at full speed, full of day-to-day things, be it work, household chores, accounts payable, duties, and lots of other things. With all this in our head, it is difficult to control negative thoughts, therefore, it is good to take a moment to relax our mind, meditate calmly, try to empty our brain of all that chaos and fill it with things that are positive

As a fourth strategy we have Change the focus of your thoughts

Many times a negative thought is the product of seeing a problem from the wrong perspective, we must determine the attitude we take when facing a problem or the things that happen around us, from which point of view we observe that, and change it in a positive way. It is not the same to think: "I'm going through a difficult time and I have problems" to think "It's costing me a little but I'm looking for a way to solve it". It is basically the same, but in the second way it has a more positive approach, and this subtle difference can have a great effect on our way of thinking.

Our fifth strategy will be Be creative

When negative thoughts invade us, it is quite difficult to find a creative outlet for them. Writing, drawing or painting, often serve to drain our emotions through creativity, it is like an autotherapy and serves to elevate our mood. This is a good way to break with the usual and will allow us to understand and control our thoughts more easily.

As a sixth strategy we have Take a walk

It is common to think that negative thoughts originate only in the mind, but this is not entirely correct, since it is often our environment that generates this type of thoughts, being surrounded by negative people or an environment that generates us Upsetness can lead us to this. For that reason, getting away and taking a breath of fresh air, away from that toxic environment can make a difference and give us peace and tranquility.

And finally our seventh and last strategy, List all that is worthwhile in your life

Many times we forget that in our lives we have many good things, either by routine or whatever, we lose sight of the good things that life has given us. For this reason, we must concentrate on maintaining this focus, knowing how to appreciate all those things for which we are grateful, and not just go through life putting a patch of negative things that do not let us appreciate what we have.

Hi @sahana-yoga! Thanks for your vote!! Well, I usually take a deep breath for a few seconds, I try to listen to music or play with my pets, which really helps me ;-)
