I've wanted to read the book for a while, being that it is the basis for Bladerunner, but I've never gotten around to it. I did just recently see the new Blade Runner, and was wondering about the empathy tests. They didn't really explain them. Glad I read your post, to get a bit more understanding. I don't know if they were in the first movie, and I just forgot them, or what. It has been quite a few years since I saw it.

The movie was interesting though.
