The Age Of Ideologies
It's undeniable how different we all are. But are we really? The truth is that we aren't really. After all, we are all humans on this rock, out spinning in space around a ball of fire with other rocks spinning around it as well. I feel like we've come to a time where so many different experiences have carved so many different points of views in our societies, that people have a hard time getting along. It is too easy to get caught up in mindless bickering & emotionally burdened debate without trying to shift the attention and energy towards solutions. Talk about misallocated use of brain power. Politics brings this situation to the light all too well. I know that whenever I get into discussions about governments or any other touchy subject, if anyone disagrees with me, I always try to view their stance. A large majority don't do this because of ideology.
We live in a time where people don't care about right or wrong, but one thing is forsure. Everyone has to be right ! I hate to see important topics such as climate change & poverty be skewed to meaningless debates that in turn get aim at the personalities speaking on them. Then the debate becomes aim at person and his/her morals instead of what the topic at hand really was. I can say with certainty that from what I see, people need to drop ideologies and be more open to the fact that sometimes one isn't always correct. At times it's like people deliberatly turn into troll bots, just to keep situations frozen in place without making any progress. This can be seen in the 2 megabite segwit proposal that is staged to take place , sometime in the upcoming proposal month or next. In the age of fake news , evidence can be found to back up both sides of most arguments. In lies the troubling dilema.
How are we suppose to make sense of whats going on when dialouges are not being assembled? Instead a slew of self righteous outburst and put downs is most common when speaking to others with different opinions. It is so frustrating to watch. I feel every person no matter how smart , strong or healthy, has a resposibility to understand that everyone has a margin of error. This global culture of ideologies has put the things that are truly important to the side and has created ideologue zombies. The diasease has spread and it keeps spreading. Way outside the political realm and it is scary. This cult like mentality in many is no good. I myself might even be infected and not know. What I do know is that on some real shit. We as one race, should ALL get along. Its in OUR best interest.
Be safe friends and remember. YOU are not always right.... take off your shoes from time to time. Wear other people's

Your post is spot on. Our media and schooling system has us trained that there has to be s right and a wrong. So many people can't have a discussion without proving themselves right. There's also an ego problem. People are scared to be wrong. No one wins an argument . Nice post.
Ideology has been on my mind lately.
There are very vocal groups in the states that are very ideological in their arguments. Ideologies seem to pre-suppose some utopia: "If only this and that and this, then everything would be fine."
Ideological arguments don't seem to be able to say, "Right now is point A. Point B is where we want to be. How de we get from A to B?"
They only seem to be able to say, "If only things were like this, then you would see that things would be going just fine," with no regard whatsoever of practical realities.
Here is Jordan Peterson speaking of ideology:
It is ironic that the alt-right in the States have cited him often enough, when in looking at the breadth of his statements, he seems to be more anti-authoritarian in all of its manifestations.
Yup, walk a mile in someone elses shoes, great for a renewed and different perspective.
It's not even about right or wrong anymore it's what others want to make u believe , they will fight you just to get to their point

Good post. . . I think its one of those things that yea we are all infected. What's important is that you make an attempt to see beyond your bias and listen/respond.
I agree wholeheartedly.
