Have you ever been pressured into getting a job or living life a certain way by friends or family? If yes then this post is most certainly for you. Sometimes we get forced into living our lives the way other people feel we should and often forget that the life is ours and no one elses.
We all come into this world alone and even if you die at the same time with someone holding hands, there's no guarantee that both of you will wake up on the other side together, we all die alone as well. The life you have is a book that only you can author, people can only feature in it, but they're names won't be mentioned when the author of the book is needed.
Living life on your own terms simply means to live life the way you see fit, ignore what people have to say, ignore people's opinions about you and be happy with who you are and how you've chosen to live. At the end of the day, we all just want to be happy, and I can't think of a better way to do that than to live life the way you see fit.
Don't let friends or family members who are seemingly doing better than you get you frustrated, life is a race that is unique to everyone, and we all don't move at the same pace. We all have different paths which at most run parallel to others or intersect at some point, but none the less, everyone's path is different.
Live life on your own terms, live it the way you feel is right, if you want to have fun then do it, if you want to build a career then build it, but let your decisions be yours and yours alone. At the end of the day, no-one is to blame for how your life turned out except you, so whatever the case, let it be that the choices you make remain yours.
Now I'm not saying that you should run off and go and live a stupid and unproductive life, neither am I saying that you shouldn't listen to what people have to say to you, just don't let people make life decisions for you.

Most times I think we actually need someone to push us.
The life is ours to live but we should bear in mind that whatever decision we make both good and bad affect our loved ones.
We should not allow people to influence us negatively.
many people dont really peruse the terms and condition of a product before they purchase it. I love the way you 'simulated ' life as a product. wish i could get to read my 'life manual'. lol.( terms and condition would always apply hehehe)
