RE: Lou Reed, Anthology of Memorable Lyrics (Late 20th century – Early 21st century)

in #writing7 years ago

Just getting to this reference. Thank you so much for putting such a great resource together. This took some huge effort. I'm always looking up lyrics myself. Now you have me inspired to post about it :)

It's a little off topic, but I hope consider posting to uwelang's danceweekend and participating. I am sure you have some interesting picks for it.

I like it because it is very fun to see all the different music and of course everyone needs to get up and dance!

My pleasure. After Lou died, I spent the following few weeks compiling this series of fine lyrics, then sent it out to a few friends. I'd thought of somehow putting it up on a blog, but lacked the ambition / tech skills. Now, I have Steemit to take care of the digital side, so I can concentrate on the words. It's a bit of effort, but a labor of love. (I'm actually adding to my original series, and adding comments, as you saw.)

Re that "danceweekend," do I just add that as a tag? If so, I'll do that from the next post.

And since you bring that up, I've had followers ask me about starting new tags. (One female dentist wants to start a "Dentistry" tag, but I could not advise her how to do that, except to include that tag.)

Dance away ... !

Yes, just include any tag and it is started! You can check out uwelang's blog to see what he posted to get the weekend started. Last weekend was Eurotrash :)

I'm so glad you found steemit to save and promote your work! Love Roxy music - good memories.
I

OK, thanks, I'll pass on that info re the tag.

Also, I went to uwelang's blog, and listened to some very decent music. And followed him. Later ...
