JEALOUSY

Of all the passions, jealousy is that which exacts the hardest service and pays the bitterest wages. Its services is to watch the success of our enemies. Its wages is to be sure of it.

Jealousy is one of the feeling that makes those who are suffering from it to behave in a funny way. Imagine somebody becoming angry or unhappy because somebody is showing some love or interest on another person.
Such people are always nervous and irritable because they feel what is given to another is supposed to be given to them. What an emotional imprisonment. They are always at odd with other people, putting down others in order to get what they feel belongs to them.

A jealous person sees nothing good in others; he is always suspicious, obstinate and speaking evil. He resents those who seem to be more successful, wishing that he had what they have. What a miserable life rooted with self -pity and ultimate selfishness.

A jealous person feels his needs are not met at all and will never be met. Therefore, this makes him go for another person's property bitterly, hastily and vengefully. He has allowed himself to be overtaken by self-seeking zeal which is out of control.

A jealous person cannot rejoice with those who are rejoicing, neither can he mourn with those who mourn. He feels he should be the person who s blessed. If somebody is struck by adversity, he will feel that is his revenge. He cannot sympathize with those who are hurt.

Jealousy is a manifestation of insecurity and dissatisfaction with one's gift, potential, talent, calling and self -worth. Anybody who is arrested by jealousy, as he gets jealous of another person, he divert his attention to what others have. He can do anything to eliminate his neighbour if he feels that his neighbor has what he wants for himself.
Jealousy opens the door to more serious evil and closes the door of the heart to anything good.

If you are jealous of somebody, you become judgemental of everything he does. This will make you less energetic because it will sap your positive energy.
You will become less willing to work because you have no good mind to work with others. You cannot be a team player, feeling that you can make it all alone. This will result in less productivity and inefficiency.

As a jealous person cannot impact his own life positively, he cannot impact positively on others. He will be so blinded to know that he is the one loosing, he appears pitiful, mean spirited and motivated by negativity. He will not be able to pursue what is rightfully his because he is preoccupied by what is rightfully someone else'.

Jealousy makes a man rot away and reduces his life, whereas a relaxed attitude and good compliment to others lengthens a man's life. It is the tribute mediocrity pays to achievers but he remains stagnant, achieving nothing.

Instead of becoming jealous for what you think would have been yours watch, for something better is about to come your way.
You can only see a vision of your life and your future when you refuse to be jealous. Be contented with what you have discovered God has given you and try to appreciate it.
If you hold unto it, occupy with it and be faithful in it, He will add more to you and increase you.
Just cease from being jealous....
