CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS

He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

I learned early in my life that your friends will either make you or Mar you.

The influences that dominate our lives are the results of the people we keep closely in our lives. These influences determine what direction our lives will go. Predict where you want to go, then look for those who can inspire you to get there. A smart way to determine the influences that affect you is to choose your friends.

Men are doors that will open you up into a world of specific experiences. You can be friendly with all men but you cannot be the friend of everyone.

Our relationship soon become the environment which transactions the influences that determine whether we excel or not. The wise King Solomon said "iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend" (proverb 27:17). Simply put therefore, a friend should be able to affect your cutting edge positively. Friendship must lead to a positive effect of some sort.

I believe that friendship ought to be on purpose or nothing. We see from both proverbs 12:11 and 28:19 that the quality of friends you choose is a prime index that defines your level of wisdom and understanding. Again, we see there, that your core associations will influence your productivity. " He that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough." Mind who you follow; they will determine the influences that shape your philosophies, and what principles you live by. It was Dr. David Oyedepo that said friendship is not by force, friendship is by choice.

Quality relationships have a way of reproducing after their kind. Great men connect you to great men, and vice versa. Relationships trail us into the future, and determine a great portion of our opportunities and experiences . Become the right person; invest value into yourself. Be someone that great men will be pleased to find and connect with.
