"Leading by example" is one word I used to hear as a kid. I was admonished to always do what makes people see the good in me. Living as you want to be perceived is way more important that wanting to be seen by the way you speak.

It is up to us to make people see us as living truly as we are and not living mediocre lives just to please the "world". When you want to see good around you, live as a good man and those around you will follow suit. If you want to see and hear positive things, give positivity every time. The world will be formed based on what it is given and not what it is told.
You will give good when you have good and you will give ugly when you have ugly; you cannot give what you do not have, you can talk what you do not have but giving it, is not possible. Be the change you want to see and the world will be a better place for someone.
PS: The author of this quote wrote The Alchemist and I can tell you that, that book changed my thought process. Read it when you can.

By example Indeed !!. We are expected to lead by example, not just leading by example but positive example.
As a leader most especially you're expected to lead by example and then your followers will follow suit. Anyone who's engaging in an evil or negative act will one day be approached by his activities. Remember your life reflects and impacts to the people around you.
