Why did we do this to ourselves?

in writing •  27 days ago

Every, single, day. In and out. Back and forth. Moving from the comfort and safety of our own homes into the the heart of the central business district. Commuting is in no way native to the human race. Yet we are born, we grow up, and we accept that we have to take part in it. Our livelihoods are strangely connected to commuting. Without it most of us wouldn't be able to live in our comfy, safe homes.

I make weekly videos on a range of topics that peak my interest. What will be next weeks?

Aww, I don’t like to think that’s all we’re about when we go to work, that we just want to shove food in our mouths. Interesting approach to posting. :)

I mean there is more to life and sometimes I do enjoy the commute, just being able to watch the world go by. However in my opinion work simply boils down to giving us the ability to put a roof over our heads and food in our mouths. One can enjoy the work that gets us there, neither is a bad thing, it's just how survival has evolved over time :)

I do get the sentiment and if we needed to boil it down to basics, it can be expressed as so. It was just the message was a little abrupt. I think if you can add a little more, it’ll make it more thought provoking. Just a suggestion, more so for consideration in future 8am vids, which can certainly be ignored. But I liked your overall approach. I like the short vid format and I’m assuming the voice over was you too. :)
