SOPHIA'S FLUTE
She buried her face in her pillows as she couldn't bear the thought of it all. Sophia's stepdad pinned her to the bed, she clinged to her flute so hard as a drowning man would clutch at a straw, her only solace, the only thing she could hold onto was an old flute her mama gave her before death sweeped her off her feet.
