INTERPRETATION OF REALITY
INTERPRETATION
Introduction:
Since I was a child I always liked to observe people, I was intrigued with human behavior, I remember being able to sense how people were thinking and predict their behavior, it felt very natural. As I grew up I noticed that reality was different for people and it was not that reality had changed, it was that the vantage point was never the same, we people are that vantage point and that makes communication very difficult specially now with so much data available and so many ways to decode reality. I'm only an average person who wants to share my observations, no agenda intended since I'm no expert of any kind. For sometime I've been writing small essays whenever some aspect of life grabs my attention and I feel inspired, I will write on my cell phone, tablet, PC or whatever available media I can access, including the old torn piece of paper or wrinkled napkin. So here I go diving into the unknown and humbly hope you enjoy reading this "thinking out loud" notes.
Observing Interpretation:
In life personal interpretation makes understanding of an objective truth very difficult, as we experience reality we are blinded by the illusion that we all think and feel the same way when looking into a situation, objects such as trees, flowers, water, nature in general that belong to the physical reality are easy to agree on but as we move into the realms of the mind, decoding becomes complicated. For instance imagine 3 people experiencing a universal law, a scientific proven fact, by that definition there should no conflict on how individuals would process the experience, but reality is different, what changes the outcome is what comes after the experience and how each of this individuals will mentally interpret such an event and consequentially how they might use it. Now if each of this people decided to communicate their findings to their community, soon it will be obvious that beside stating the mere facts of their observations they will also add their own subjective conclusions and recommendations, thus making it difficult for the receivers of the information to distinguish where the invisible lines reside between true inspiring knowledge and editorial content. Understanding the dynamics and the need for interpreting facts accurately within reality and society is a matter of high importance, realizing the implications this issue has on the decisions we make in our daily lives and the stress attached to those decisions, lacking the adequate data to help us make good choices is very dangerous in a society that's spinning into chaos due to information overload. Perhaps when we are younger, there is no sense of urgency, no reason to be serious about discovering what is real in life since it takes longer to feel the side effects of bad choices, but the consequences will be there waiting, whether we deal with them or not, so let us make an effort to observe deeply, slowly, without judgement and in the process we may find out what truly make us whole.
