Poly amorous | Proud | Disrespectful | Annoying

Beginning of rant

I don't know if it's guts, stupidity or merely his nature. I'm not sure I even care what it is, since I can't decide how I'm supposed to feel about it. Sometimes I feel insulted, sometimes it is funny, albeit humorless, then other times it's just... bleh.

Let me explain.

I work with/for him, and my first impression of him was that he was proud. I don't do proud, no matter how many of my nonexistent boxes you tick. Well, we work together and I know I don't have to like him to respect him as my boss.

So one day his Whatsapp status said he was poly amorous. That was the first time I heard the phrase and so I couldn't help but ask him what that means. He says he could fall in love with different women at the same time.

I disagreed that it was possible.

He said it is what it is, and he presently had five ladies. They knew the kind of person he was and he didn't expect them to have only him too.

I could only shake my head.

This is where it became my business. He said he liked me. I laughed.

I summarized all my confusion into the word 'no'. He tried to convince me to visit, I laughed again. I tend to laugh a lot.

Many things happened which I can't share, but the reason I am writing this is because of what he is doing.

He still tells me he likes me, but there's a new girl he professes love to on his Whatsapp status. He posts her pictures and says things which have me squinting even when I'm wearing my glasses.

I'm feeling a bit annoyed. I don't know why though, because I knew there was no way I could be with him. I guess I don't understand why a man should be wooing two ladies at the same time.

Today he followed her to church. He doesn't go to church normally. He shared how interesting the experience was and I can only shake my head again.

I think I'm changing my belief that you don't have to like one to respect them. I'm beginning to lose respect for him, he obviously doesn't respect me.
