Article - The history of music artists: The case of the band Pink Floyd!
Pink Floyd was a British band, which was formed in London in 1965. It was and still is a popular band the world around. Many people love their music!
The name Pink Floyd comes from the persons Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, and they were blues- singers. They were singing everywhere like the meandering of the streams coming through the valleys. Pink Floyd was a progressive rock band. It was an innovation in music focusing on many actual society things. Pink Floyd had deep texts, experimental music, epic compositions, sound effects and stage shows, and the music was packed with effects. They have sold more than 250 millions of albums the world around, and hence they are a band that has sold most of all bands in rock! Pink Floyd is touching the nerves in the social system. They are singing about actual things and timeless things. Music is about forming an idea and doing a link in people between stimulus and response. The band Pink Floyd is trying to affect the responses of what you are doing in a society. Some actions are legal, and some actions are illegal!
Pink Floyd is having an exhibition in Madrid in 2019. Everyone coming into contact with them, could take a telephone or writing a mail! And the band often have a private policy about what to do. One cannot open all the channels, but one has to select some of them! The exhibition is going on from May to September. Everyone being interested in Pink Floyd could take a look. And this is what we are doing different places in the world. We use the gaze on different things.
Some of the most popular songs to Pink Floyd are «Time», «The Wall» and «We don’t need no education». In this last mentioned song, Pink Floyd is singing that we don’t need no thought controls. We should think what we want, and we should be free to think what we like, and what we feel that is up in any society. Societies are always national and international politics, and we should have a reaction on this, if we do not appreciate everything.
The most known album releases are the debut albums «The Piper at the Gates of Dawn» (1967) and «The Dark Side of the Moon» (1973). «The Dark Side of the Moon» was on Billboard Top 200 for 740 weeks! Other albums were «Wish You Were Here» (1975) and «The Wall» (1979). The band Pink Floyd had several internal conflicts, and something happened from time to time. We are always in conflicts if we do not agree in what is going on, and if we get opinions that are not in accordance with own views.
The members of the band Pink Floyd were Syd Barrett, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Bob Klose. In 1968, Syd Barrett was excluded from the band due to mental disorders and anxiety for crowds. Hence, you should always be in shape and in balance. Life is about shaping your human nature and your environments different places. In 1981, Richard Wright ended his career in the band, and he was squeezed out of the band during the recording of the album «The Wall».
Rogers Waters declared the band to be officially dissolved in 1985, but after lengthy legal battle, David Gilmour and Nick Mason got the rights to the name Pink Floyd in 1987. Richard Wright came back as an associated member in 1987. In 1994, the album «The Division Bell» came. And in 2014, the album «The Endless River» came. Hence, Pink Floyd is a band interesting what is going on in bodies and their minds, and what the nature is and can be!
Pink Floyd has received several awards, and they have several Grammys. Accordingly, they are loved several places. Pink Floyd was orginally a rock band in the underground environments in London, but after a while they become one of the largest and most popular music band regardless of music genre. Accordingly, they played much kinds of music, and they were loved and admired many places in the world.
The last time the band appeared together was in London at 2. July 2005. They are still living with our fantasies and our dreams today, but the band members are not just doing music performances today. But it comes exhibitions, and they are relevant and out of time! Richard Wright died of cancer 15. September 2008.
