The Illusion of Darkness
Why fear the chivalrous knight
that awakens my weary mind,
into a world of possibilities,
where dreams are intertwined.
Now beginning to clearly see
the truth, caught in a coruscation,
of darkness, shines the light
ignited by the imagination.
More light than man can take,
scared witless of the undefined.
For darkness is the product of fear
and only exists in our mind.

Coming into this poem, knowing you and with the name as it is, I expected to be shown a strange disconnect between two worlds and something dealing with the surreal.
To encounter something that delves so deep within the human condition and evaluates the role of fear and the barriers it creates to furthering ourselves and dreams - I wasn't ready to be so blown away!
As is the nature of poems so laced with messaging, yet so perfectly succinct, not a single word goes unused here.
The word that caught me was coruscation because it holds so much meaning while lending itself to the alliteration of that line, it's almost a tangible turning point in the piece.
Brilliantly done, Sharu, and a read that I've already made three or four journeys through, and plan to go through more.
