Waduk Jatigede dan Beberapa Kisahnya // Jatigede Reservoir and Some Stories (Bilingual)
Sahabat, foto diatas ini sebetulnya bukan pulau alami, tapi pulau buatan dari hasil pembendungan air sungai cimanuk, dan lebih dikenal dengan Waduk Jatigede, area genangan Waduk Jatigede meliputi 28 desa di Kecamatan Darmaraja, Kecamatan Wado, Kecamatan Jatigede dan Kecamatan Jatinunggal.
Pulau-pulau kecil tersebut adalah sebuah gunung yang sengaja ditenggelamkan dengan beberapa desa disekitar waduk jatigede, beberapa kisah seperti:
- Ular Raksasa Berdiam di Dasar Waduk
- Legenda Keuyeup Bodas
- Legenda Ikan Mas Raksasa
- dan beberapa makam
Kisah tersebut sekarang menjadi saksi sejarah bagaimana terjadinya Waduk Jatigede ini.
Waduk jatigede ini dibangun untuk irigasi, pembangkit listrik tenaga air (PLTA) dan sarana budidaya ikan air tawar. Lokasi waduk jatigede ini berada di kabupaten sumedang provinsi jawa barat.

Jatigede reservoir is built for irrigation, hydroelectric (hydropower) and means of freshwater fish cultivation. The location of this jatigede reservoir is located in Sumedang district of West Java province.
