Sometimes, if there are just too many flashbacks, we don't only get mindf*cked but also confused. I can't agree more with you (especially with Christopher Nolan's movies)...But if done right, rest assured we can appreciate the flashbacks a movie deserves.

Like everything, it's a tool, and it's all about how it's done. I wish more creators, in general, remembered that "less is more."

And thanks for the Curie vote! Curie is one of the few projects on Steemit that give me hope in the platform yet, or that not everyone is here just to earn money (even as Curie tries to help the people here who make quality content for money stick around to keep making content).
