Remembrance Day - We Thank You
As I scrolled through my Facebook memories, I came across this image that I shared a couple years ago.
In a world so divided by anger, fear and hatred - a world where people are so quick to judge others for what they think and feel and believe, this feels as relevant any other day as it does today, on the Day of Remembrance.
We need to remember that their battles, wins and losses, paved the way for us to live our lives the way we choose, to love who we choose to love. No matter your colour, your faith, your beliefs - any of it - we have the right to live the way we choose because of them.
We have the right to express ourselves because of them. We have the right to protest the way we choose because of them.
Remember them. Honour their fight. Be grateful for their sacrifices.
Live free. Love well. It's because of them that we have the right to be free.
