An article of self

Achievement - the great motivator of the world for improvement - the endless furnace that is fed by human desire for knowledge as well as the unknown. Humans' curiosity has been a strong force for both sides of all issues. This force directs humans, who, for a long time, have wanted to find the meaning of life. Life is a fickle thing as such that it ebbs and flows based on the path carved by natural selection. The weak die out and the strong persist. The genes and alleles that had caused the inferior to be conceived in the first place are banished from the world by the invisible hand of fate. But what is fate if not a dictatorial force of life? Many philosophers have tried to answer this question throughout the ages.

The Eastern views of life are, evidently, very different to the views of the West. Thousands of years ago, ancient Chinese philosophers had tried to describe fate as being an inevitable, an immutable force that cannot be stopped. The indifference of fate toward those who seek to change it provide evidence that fate is not as hard-boiled as the philosophers had thought. The fabric of fate does indeed resist the change that those impose upon it. It is a variable thing. Why would it give way if it is supposedly the hand of the universe? Perhaps the hand is neither almighty nor omnipotent.

Western cultures have sought to explain fate with a concept of higher, divine beings that control all. A kind of architect that intelligently designs all of the framework of the universe. This would imply that a natural hierarchy is formed based upon the beliefs of the people. If the higher beings are indeed omnipotent and omniscient, would they not know all of the possible futures already? Why would they create a civilization that would only destroy themselves? Such a suggestion in the European "Dark Ages" would have brought upon the wrath of the church or caliphate. Non-believers were not treated with mercy. However, those that did survive had proven themselves worthy to pass on their workings and leave a legacy. They left kingdoms for their lineage to reign over. They were the most fit to survive in the world.

With the fall of the original Roman Empire, Christianity had begun to dominate Europe. Though the kings and queens of Europe seemed to have infinite power over their people, it was all an illusion created by the fear of the people. There were benevolent rulers, but they had been assassinated or slaughtered by their enemies - the ones who favored chaos over order. Humanity has been shown time and time again that order is a necessary evil to survive. An evil that the natural state of the universe, constant entropy, tends against. As the universe travels toward a disorderly end caused by an exponentially expanding space, humans will rise again and again, until they are crushed by the natural disorder. There are groups of people in the world that seek to further this disorder. They have learned to use disorder to gain power over other humans. Their goal is unknown to most. The blissful ignorance of the massive populace... It is a breeding ground for power-farming money.

Money and wealth are the definitive truths of human civilization. It both creates and destroys. A human desire to dominate other humans is an inherent byproduct of an advanced self-preservation tactic-the forming of tribes. The earliest humans have always had a hierarchy. The most alpha males were almost always guaranteed a female to mate with because of their natural tendency toward leadership and self-improvement. The weaker, yet more cunning members of the tribes were the ones to plot and study the behaviors of the alphas. Though they could not achieve the confidence, intelligence, or strength of the alphas, but they had the strong desire to topple the leader. That is where deception, a skillset created by the previous, less intelligent proto-humans and other creatures, came in. This skillset was their greatest strength - and weakness. The least cunning of the tribesmen were suspected and killed without trial, as early human settlements did not have such an advanced concept at the time. The most deceptive humans, however, managed to secure an everlasting spot in the reproductive chain. Their ability to deceive and persuade made them fearsome on the battlefield of intellect. The alphas, who were supposedly fearless, feared these people. They knew full well that they were capable of taking down their tribe through treason and feeding of proofless, false information. The alphas who saw through their facades were targeted the most by the deceptive and were consequently assassinated. To form a dichotomy of these two classes is to falsify reality. As there are alpha males, there are also sigma males, a sociopsychological class of creatures that pulls the strings from behind the scenes. These are the ultimate deceivers and planners. They are the ones that toppled the Roman Empire in the first place. They were purged from every country, though their bloodlines were never truly removed from existence. They are comparable to cancer, a disease caused by improper encoding of cell reproduction genes. It can never truly be cured. That is not to say that they aren't useful. To have sigmas amongst the populace is for the civilization to have the possibility of forging a new leader capable of creating a long-lasting civilization. They plan the future of the civilization from the shadows. Every thought and action of the population is subconsciously calculated with precision by these enigmas. Their ability is not always inherited. An alpha can gain the abilities of a sigma by watching and studying the flow of civilization. Economics, politics, society-they study it all. Study the art of deception and manipulation of the human mind long enough and even an alpha can rival a sigma.

A form of deception that was strategized by these sigmas is that of autodivinity, the belief that one is divine relative to all else. In laymans' terms, that would be considered narcissism or extreme egoism. Those led to believe that they are the only sentient being in the universe also believe that the universe will bend to their belief. They call this "The Law of Attraction". Many modern-day new age movement followers consider this to be dogma and the only truth, placing themselves above even the laws of physics. They disregard the real laws of the universe that govern all. A belief that the universe will eventually bend to their beliefs without any action to back the change is without basis in science. The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Without energy being transferred into the system, nothing can change. As is true with any form of activism. Without action, nothing will change.
