Finish The Story- Week #10. My Conclusion.

This is the concluding part of the story featured in the finish the story contest- week 10 hosted by @f3nix. The first part of the story can be found here

Penelope woke up with a start.

"What in the world!" She exclaimed. "Why do i feel so ill at ease and what on earth woke me up?" She thought as she felt goosebumps on her arms.

Then she heard it. Little chattering voices talking gibberish! She sat up on the bed and cautiously peered over the edge to see a sight that turned her blood cold with horror.

The dolls were alive! They were marching like military men under the supervision of Hans, the new doll, who stood at attention in front. The scary part was they all had a sharp object in their hands that had already wreaked havoc to anything within their reach. The room looked like something had run over it. She watched in wonder as they left the room in a file.

The next she heard was the sounds of breaking dishes and the loud clatter of cutleries. Excited doll sounds were made as it was obvious they had found new weapons.

"I cannot remain here against so many crazy dolls. Who knows what kind of thoughts they have towards me! Oh! Father warned me but i won't listen."

She picked up her shoes and was about leaving the room when she saw a doll in her path. For a few seconds, they stared at each other, then the doll made a loud scream just as she heard the front door open and Charles' booming voice call out, " Honey, we are home".

Chaos reigned the next moment. She ran to warn Charles but the little doll in her way tripped her and she fell down the stairs to see her baby and husband in agony.

Charles was fighting but what could he do against so many little dolls. As he threw one off, two others replaced it. She watched Charles scream in pain as knives found their way into his body...and precious Jacob cried in fear but she was helpless. She felt tears drop down her face. Her legs were broken from the fall, she could not move.

"The end is near,"she thought as she turned and watched the dolls advance with an evil expression on their face flashing their weapons.

Then all went dark.
