COSMOS game

Today I once again joined "Cosmos". I wore the outfit, the headband and dive into this other world to guide Chbalk's life. It's the character I've been in charge for two years now. Every day I watch and intervene in his life for about an hour. This is the maximum time we are allowed to be in there. Time passes differently in “Cosmos”- every 2,5 min. of our time is a whole day of that place.

Through the light helmet that covers the whole head everything appears different. Our environment becomes gray, the walls, the furniture, everything. "Cosmos" on the other hand glows full of color and becomes intensely alive. At first one may get confused, but after only some moments moving around in “Cosmos” without stumbling in our environment’s objects becomes easy and interesting. In that place I can move wherever, whenever I wish, under the condition that I always have view of the character under my watch in a bubble-window.

I found him exactly at the place and time I had left him the day before – preparing his breakfast. He mixes a bunch of materials to get bodily well-being. At certain moments of the day, he is murmuring words of spiritual concentration. He uses many of the artifacts of "Cosmos" to exist in it.

I notice him, and I think that he does not really offer much in "Cosmos". Other characters I've been in charge before were more creative, ambitious, interesting in terms of the variety of their moments. Chbalk's Artificial Intelligence consciousness does not grow like most characters of "Cosmos". This one observes and wonders. He asks what he really does in “Cosmos”, what his purpose is? He could make a great discovery, or raise a character that in the future will change “Cosmos”, or he may already have contributed in a friend’s decision to marry, and whose grandson will destroy “Cosmos”. He wonders about his fit in the puzzle and if that fit has happened or is to come in the future. This alternation between agony and letting be in “Cosmos”, this strange evolution of his consciousness makes me keep him alive.

Sometimes I tease him, I cooperate and arrange with another guide to by-coincidence meet a character from old times, or present him with the symmetries of the “Cosmos”, or download future images while he sleeps. And then again he amazes and asks himself, “…am I a puppet, and if yes why do I wonder, or is it that my questions are put there by the puppet-master, and what is his purpose of doing so…”. When he looks for signs with his consciousness mind he finds nothing, but when unconsciousness mind, namely me myself, takes over, signs are everywhere.

There will come a time that he will cease being in there. He thinks of it with no fear. He builds scenarios on the different nature of after-“Cosmos” – maybe his mind goes beyond space and time, advances and mixes with other minds in a new wholeness, or maybe he is transformed in a bunch of information that squeezes among others and makes universe expand. The truth is that in “Cosmos” there is no passing away, it is instead a flying above. Every character is presented with his/her chain of moments without being anymore part of it. And then the ticket to real existence is handed over by his/her guide who remains unseen until that moment.

His breakfast ended and he went to fill the watering bowls for the birds of the garden.He smiled on the view of the “king of the finches”, his breath tried to reach the fragrance of the herbs. The Saturday routine followed normally, supermarket, swimming, lunch, nap, cinema, dinner, laughing with good company. And then he went to bed and fall asleep, and time was passing… at the end of my second minute in “Cosmos”. I yawn and stretch and my thought is somewhere else. And he dreams the impossible, my own yesterday’s dream. My shiver under my outfit, a vibration in “Cosmos”.
