A Glimpse of The Not-Too-Distant Future: Featuring Alphabet Inc & Google’s Technology

In the very near-future, you’ll watch in Real Time – after issuing a voice command to your phone or tablet – as your transportation service makes its way to your place. Through the Nest’s Dropcam and your device’s Apps, you’ll track Alphabet’s Waymo right to your front door. A camera embedded in your doorbell or other front access area will capture the moment the AI unit arrives.

Your Waymo will also be watching you, for your security, you understand. A plethora of high-resolution cameras mounted in key locations around the vehicle will work with sensors to perform continuous awareness around the vehicle. Your Android device will interface with the vehicle upon entry, performing a lightning-fast wireless upload of your payment info and trip planning. Using voice recognition or a simple retinal scan, your virtual chauffeur will access your personal information, then make suggestions for the onboard suite of endless entertainment packages, based on travel time, and a personal psychological profile compiled by Alphabet and their 3rd Party Affiliates.

Of course, these little extras won’t be free – but they’ll be so convenient, who could refuse? The transition from talking on your phone or listening to music on your device will be practically seamless. You’ll barely break your mental stride as you step into the vehicle, instantly rerouting your activity through the car’s Bluetooth, enabling you to continue conversations through the vehicle’s enhanced communications system, or get right into that movie you've been waiting to watch on Google Play.

Your phone will necessarily be connected to the vehicle’s free 5G Hotspot. Alphabet’s command center will ensure your device is communicating continuously, using GPS, collecting info from every cell tower you pass and every Blue-Tooth signal you come in range of. And, of course the cameras will also be strategically placed inside your ride, adding to the range of overlapping security features that will ensure maximum efficiency and complete accuracy in getting you to your destination – and thus preventing you from ever being mistakenly dropped off 2 counties over as an uninvited guest to Bill and Fred’s transsexual wedding reception.

The preceding story is based on true events. While parts of it are admittedly just theory, Alphabet Inc really does possess ALL of the technology in the story. They do own Waymo, Nest, VR, Facial Recognition, and can provide the near endless supply of entertainment features through Android Auto. They own and/or control access to satellites, drones, and top secret programs that may, or may not be, in collaboration with branches of the US military.

Google and Alphabet are slowly gaining more control over every aspect of our lives. We’ll explore some of the things we can do to retain or reclaim some of that control and provide some useful tips on maintaining a degree of privacy, in the next article.
