RE: Poverty Is Almost Always a Vicious Cycle.
The trouble is, we don't really care about the children.
We have advertising to pull on the heart strings, "think about the children", and donate to us. "Think about the children", when armed, law breaking bad people are storming your borders.
But, we really don't care.
All of it is lip service.
Just like the green initiative. If we actually cared about the environment, we wouldn't have any cars with a 0-60 time.
We send kids to govern-cement indoctrination camps, where they are programmed to never rise above their social position. They are beaten with books so badly that most will never touch a book again for the rest of their lives. They learn to respect authority and learn how to be bullies.
What a great place. And we all (accept a few brave parents) send our children dutifully to that hell hole.
Poor-ness is a disease. It spreads like a disease. And the cure, although quite effective is dismissed out of hand.
No, what we need is to throw money at the situation! Steal the money from these slightly richer people and throw it on a big bon-fire to keep those poor warm for one night. (if only we would do that, that would be something. Instead, what we do with the money is make sure that those suffering from poor-itis never make it out)
"The poor don't have money for food" is the clarion cry. However, with food stamps and food giveaways, no one should go hungry.
But, we have a lot of parents who are just into escapism. Drugged out on TV, pills, weed, or whatever, they turn whatever money they receive into smoke. And being into escapism, they basically leave their children to feed themselves.
If we really wanted to end hunger, we should end the food stamp program and open up cafeterias everywhere. If you are hungry, walk to your local cafeteria and get the food you need.
This would end hunger, and would cost less than food stamp program. Probably by a lot.
The issue is that most people don't realize how much of hypocrites they are. I know for example one guy from in here that screams for universal income and equality, he is against capitalism and all that but at the same time he has no problem whoring themselves to a guilt in order to receive rewards, changed his entire writing style to accommodate another niche that pays, even joined (forex session in the past the epitome of capitalism ) yet he is one of the first to scream about inequality and how unfair the world is.
These kind of people are the majority of people and hence the reason the issues they are whining about keeps going on and on.
How would you define this... or put a word to it.
Most middle class people, programmed that money is the problem,
tend to throw money at the situation to solve it.
These people believe:
Lack of money is not the problem. Throwing money at the problem has made things worse. And govern-cement officials just get fat skimming off the flow of money.
The typical middle class person does not want to put in the effort to help out the poor. It is a lot of work... which usually ends up in a lot of wasted time and resources. Throwing money is a lot easier.
So, what is the word to describe this situation?
hypocrisy
