You did well in the quiet scene between Lady Chestnut and Saddie. As Saddie's memories and feelings overwhelmed her, it was a blessing that she had two reliable friends like Mister and now in this case an older woman, Popolina, there for her.
As always Felix, your unique style makes it easy for us to feel as though we're on board the Lady botanist's ship with her gardens and possible passageways. The glee from Saddie pouncing on the Mister gave a moment for the severity of recent events to fall away and the young girl be just that. You've created characters that make a reader care for how they overcome their trials and where their story will take them. These stories of yours are as a piece of art. Each revisiting brings to attention another part to appreciate.

"It takes a will to change things." - A will, lots of effort, patience and heart. But the grand bit is that very rarely does anyone have to truly be alone in making a change.

Thanks for writing with me and for your sweet compliments in your remarks. 🤗

UwU ~ Thanks for the compliments and thanks for the analysis! Anyways, I appreciate yer ever-continued analysis of things; even including the readings of Start and End Blurbs. Anyways, let’s finish strong! If not for the reader’s sake, then Saddie’s sake
