I am a Nerd and not in the usual obvious ways until I open my mouth or you see my playlists of Sci-Fi and Documentaries about Wormholes and research into Fractals and parallel realities. Gasp!
In my day to day life my friends are not nerdy and tend to like coming over and asking me questions about how I can stand being such a loner at times. Perhaps nerds need more alone time to simply slow down the forever moving cogs and wheels spinning inside our craniums. Maybe some days I just want to wear my hipster glasses and throw my hair in a bun and wear tshirts with coffee stains on them that are quite old and say things like "Getting Lucky in Kentucky".
It took some time to stop attempting to be something and someone I am not. It took some grit and determination to develop a thicker skin and realize that the thought of doing a group spin class or talking about scrapbooking or shopping made me want to vomit.....
