Sobutka

Sobutka is an exploration of themes contrary to standard narratives. This includes ideas like nihilism, shamanism and anarchism. These 'isms' are simply a desire to explore the darker, wilder sides of our nature, to leave behind the institutional suppression perpetrated by civilised culture and excused as 'normal'.

These themes are currently condensing into a series of sci-fi novels, based on a distant-future earth were contrasting systems of governance, culture and spirituality are juxtaposed to better understand ourselves and our place in this reality.

Developed after profound experiences deep in the jungles of Peru, Sobutka draws on a tribal and animistic themes, using deep symbolism to harness to inherent powers of Art.

This attempt to understand our wilder selves has pushed a desire to 'reclaim some of the lifestyle, mentality and health enjoyed by our ancestors for hundreds of thousands of years before the advent of agriculture, dominator-civilisations and monotheism. In essence, an 'Archaic Revival.'

Come on a journey as I explore our mindscape. At best we find Eternity and Infinity, at worst we get some neat Art, ideas and workouts.
