RE: Waves White and Black ...Part 3 ...Weathering a Storm
Over the last few months I have been arguing with them, trying to explain they are doing the wrong thing, so in the end they started to flag me, removing the income of an entire month within one day.
I am only here because of a few people I think of as friends. like you, as I do not want to lose touch with them. Most of my posting is now done on the related platforms, like Weku, PALNet and Publish0x and Pocketnet
Even there, I do not see any love for lit - just for money.
(This is a wrong time for me to be writing to you as I am depressed because of Salvini being removed from office, so that they can continue to flood Italy with Africans. I want Greece and the UK to be saved, but Italy gave me hope. Now, who knows anymore.)
I have a problem with flagging - never been comfortable with it - I also have a problem with nepotism of any kind - maybe as I often tell people, I should have been a cop - I hate injustice. I suppose I have this naive idealism - it was one of the ancient Greeks, Socrates I believe, who said if men only saw the good they would do it. Life unfortunately has taught me that this is wishful thinking, my friend. Of course, you're entitled to your opinions - I thought that was the essence of what Steemit was about, but perhaps I was mistaken. I hope not.
As the saying goes, a few bad apples does not mean all the apples are rotten. The one who has the highest rating, who has hundreds of accounts (which he uses for sownvoting smaller postsers who express opinions he does not like) and who makes the most money day-after-day, seems to be in control without him even being a witness. He has named himself after a marxist american politician, it is not surprising he flags anyone attacking those who do not favour globalism. I've seen him attack a tiny poster (Rep25) because he made a post giving tips and practical suggestions on how to feed your family on a tiny piece of land. When I asked him why, he said it was because he felt like it, no reason needed.
I keep looking at posts by new posters, hoping to find another gifted storyteller, but I am sorry to say, I am not finding any. I guess the new rules are not going to encourage many to join.
Socrates may have had sme clear thinking that is a pleasure to spend time thinking on, but I do not think I would have liked him as a person. As for his volunterilly drinking the poison, I think that was the wrong message to send down the ages. I believe in fighting to the end.
The problem with discussing matters of this kind is that by speaking, we do not write any poems or good stories - I hope you use them to inspire you with new ideas.
As Nellie in my new story says:
