Late night musings.

As war once again launches itself
in the ME, a war that could
light up the entire world
if we don't find peace.

I was born to a Christian Mom,
and my Dad drove us to church,
didn't come in, later picked us up
and no conflict about that norm.

I could have been born
to a Muslim Mom, or maybe
a Jewish, Buddhist or Hindu Mom.
None were a choice,
just to whom and where I was born.

Each group believes in a deity
a philosophy or a doctrine,
modes of conduct,
rituals on display.

Most are much the same
but man has distorted all religions
and has desecrated any
hope for the divine,
and it is all by design.

War is not peace
and peace is not war.

Sound too simple?
Apparently is is.
