Is YouTube intentionally going after crypto channels?
So... Apparently a bunch of crypto channels on YouTube just got targeted and censored to some degree.
I just watched a video about it and I think something like 38 or more crypto channels on YouTube suddenly had action taken against them by YouTube and many of those cases involved videos that were years old.
To my knowledge it's still unclear whether this was a campaign by YouTube itself to crackdown on crypto or if it was some other kind of orchestrated effort where videos are being reported by a 3rd party, ultimately though many of these channels had many videos deleted or received temporary bans and strikes against their accounts and things like that, so whether YouTube was originally behind it or not they are apparently enforcing many of these complaints.
Kinda makes me wonder what it's all about?
I wonder who is doing this and why...?
Hmm...
Edit
I just saw another video which claims that YouTube admitted to making a mistake and they are trying to reverse what they did. Hmm.... Still kinda weird though I think. How does a mistake like that happen...? Will be curious to learn more in time.
Meh. Most of those crypto channels are run by fake news scammers anyways.
There are a lot of scammy people in crypto and most of the bigger names make me feel a lil weird on YouTube, but how many of those cases were legit? It's looking like YouTube is claiming it was an accident, so... I dunno what to think, maybe a sneak peak for future action they could take and that was just a beta test or maybe it was just an accident. I dunno.
Who knew life as a crypto vlogger could be so volatile?
Like the bs they are shilling
Lol... I still believe in freedom of speech even if I don't agree with their speech, though it doesn't really matter what I believe in this case. It is what it is.
