Let There Be Darkness | Illustration and poem
Let There Be Darkness
in a creative collaboration with @Sunravelme
Endless calm shadow
is the sleeping canvas.
Then light spilled -
a word muddying the silence.
White on black
violent and vivid
primary and secondary
There.
Let light force the form out.
Let it strip the surface bare.
A scorching sun inside a tear,
trapped on a moon-like skin.
The morning glow,
the harsh bearer of reality,
erases last-night's dream.
Beloved face of a stranger
remains in the dark.
Who was it?

Thank you so much @sunravelme! I been trying to make this poem better, but if i do anything else i feel like i might choke it to death LOL, I also just discovered the poetry workshop on discord, so i'd love to hear your feedback as an experienced poet.
