That was a good story. I like the idea that she's on the edge of shore and she has to listen for him. That's a lonely feeling because you can imagine her having to listen over the waves.
Thank you @andrewgenaille! She's by the water all by herself expecting her husband to return. She has her problems but she is patient and optimistic. She can't see so her hearing has to compensate for it. And the long wait is a test of her belief and the strength of her love.
