The mind is a strong and powerful force while matter constitutes virtually everything that surrounds us. Training the mind can be a little tricky and making the mind prevail over matter can be trickier. Physicists have tried over the years to find explanations to the happenings around us, just as it is with other creation and creatures of the universe, we are all subjected to the same laws of physics but there are just some things beyond conformance to the laws of physics and hence, the birth of meta-physics. A good understanding of meta-physics is so essential to understanding physical reality.

Mind over matter

Sometimes when we receive bad news, our spirit fails and the mind is unstable enough to create a field around our body causing us to lose balance and perhaps fall. This possibility applies to two or more bodies likewise i.e ability for one mind to influence its surrounding. I have witnessed a typical example of this theory; whereby a fellow student of mine in primary school had a clash against another who was just passing by in a rush to go someplace, the boy that felt offended just kept staring and perhaps focuses his angst at his offender as he walks past and shortly after the latter tripped and fell. We can hold on to the belief that it isn't real but I like to believe it's real.

Just like my thoughts on an unstable mind creating a field around the body causing it to lose balance, I believe that there is a possibility that this field extend just beyond the body and affecting the place of focus of the mind. Now listen; the mind of the person that was offended is an unstable mind and I couldn't simply guess what his thinking about but what I know with certainty is that he has a focus on his offender and the aftermath of it was that the latter fell "principle of cause and effect"- there's a cause for every effect. Some might even believe that am being superstitious but I want people to start accepting the reality of some basic things rather than classifying them as mere coincidence.

Einstein's quote: Yet, only one thing must be remembered: there is no effect without a cause, and there is no lawlessness in creation.

It's time to accept the fact that all mysteries can't be solved using science only and that the physical and spiritual are connected somehow. Science can only give a limited explanation to what can be seen, felt and touched but the spiritual can help a great deal in providing answers to the unanswerable. Physics tells us of a physical force that causes object to move or change the state of movement but metaphysics tells us about the spiritual force that is powerful enough to extend its influence right from within a human body to another.

Neither physics nor science has the answer to all mysteries

My thoughts on the Big-bang theory postulated are this; it has never being an actual fact that's why it remains a theory. The big bang theory remains the most widely accepted explanation to the origins of the universe but it's a fact yet to be ascertained. I think if we study metaphysics enough, we should be able to proffer answers to some of the basic questions yet unanswered such as; the origin of the universe, life after death, is the entire creation a coincidence?...etc. Most of the basic questions such as the ones listed can't be answered totally by physics.

I believe the principle at work when God created the universe might be attributed to mind over matter - it will take a super mind like that of God to pull a stunt such as that. Then if we are made in the likeness of God, why does it still sound so hard to believe that there is huge possibility of mind over matter such as the telekinesis which involves bending the matter around in obedience to the mind. Like I said before, the mind is a strong and powerful force.

Conclusion: Even if there was a big bang at the start of the universe's creation, there is no such thing as a coincidence, all was part of a perfect plan else; how do we give explanations to the protection of the earth surface from harmful rays of sun by the ozone layer, planting and harvest, the rising and setting of the sun, day and night, the concept of time-"past, present and the future", the subconscious mind, the power of thoughts, life and death etc. If it was such a coincidence why do we have nose for breathing? Even the human system are so connected to suit a particular purpose such as; respiration, excretion, reproduction etc.

We might need to start considering breaking our limitations attributed to scientific facts and focus on widening our scope of study.

Some believes that telekinesis doesn't exist because it obviously not in alignment with the laws of physics such as; inverse square law, second law of thermodynamics, and the conservation of momentum. But the fact that it violates laws of physics doesn't mean that telekinesis is nonexistent as we all know that there are things around us that is beyond the comprehension of science or even the laws of physics.

We've had fictional illustrations of telekinesis in movies released over the years but with no solid ground for its existence in reality, some believed that if perhaps ability such as that exists, it must be very weak. Laboratory experiments have been conducted to focus on even the slightest of mundane feat such as; multiple trials to making a dice land on a certain number at an above chance rate, changing the direction of movement of the hands of a clock etc. but with little or no success at all.

I think it's time we tap into the world of metaphysics.

The word Metaphysics emanated from Ancient Greece, where it was a combination of two words – Meta which means "over and beyond" and Physics. Metaphysics is the study of the true nature of reality, existence and who we really are. Neuroscience and consciousness studies have shown how the world we experience as physical is created by thoughts and feelings in the mind.

It's weird, isn't it?

Nevertheless, adequate study of Quantum physics has proven that all matter at the subatomic level exists only in wave form, and that matter appears only as solid when we use our senses to perceive and decode the wave patterns in space and time. It has also been observed that concentrated thoughts are capable of forming measurable wave patterns, and that the waves created affects observable matter in the physical world.

If telekinesis were impossibility, how is it that with enough focus, the brain remembers and stores what it sees earlier before; it may be weeks, months or even years before the recall. At least, there is no physical connection of the brain to pictures or images conceived but there are brain wave that sends signals to the brain which helps the brain to keep store of what it sees either on long-term or short term basis. Therefore, If the brain can do this, I think a strong mind can exhibit same trait in the case of telekinesis.
