Once upon a time, there lived a man called Aben hassan but was popularly called Aben the wise by all his friends and neighbors because he was a very wise man. Aben the wise had great Interest in magic, so he read more than a thousand books of magic till he became familiar with all the ancient and modern magic.

He had a demon named the king of all the demons of the earth. The demon was an ugly monster named Zadok. Zadok was a slave to Aben the wise and he did all he commanded him to do. After reading through all the books of magic, Aben the wise discovered that there was an ancient Egyptian treasure that can make him very rich.

He called for his demon and asked if the story he read about the treasure was true. The demon replied him.
"Yes, it is true"

Immediately Aben the wise asked the demon to take him there, the demon obeyed and took him through many mountains and valleys, across many seas and land, until he brought Aben the wise to a country called
"land of the black isles".
This was where the treasure was hidden. The demon showed Aben the wise the hidden treasure. It was the most beautiful and precious treasure no man had seen before. Nobody has seen the treasure since the ancient Egyptians hid it.

Aben the wise took the treasure and became very rich, he built many houses, emperors, gardens and anything that came to his mind. He was the talk of the town, his fame traveled around the world.
Soon the Queen of the black isles heard of him, she was the most beautiful woman in the world but she was also very wicked, evil and very cunning. She was able to control any man that came her way with her Beauty. Anyman that saw her became attracted to her beauty and she used it to control them.

One day the evil Queen called for Aben the wise and asked him " Aben the wise, is it true what the people say? Is it true that you have discovered one of the most precious treasure in the world? The one that the ancient Egyptian hid for years" Aben the wise replied "it is true my queen". Aben the wise was already attracted to the Queen's beauty. He fell in love with her beauty immediately. He stayed with the Queen throughout the day and he promised to show the Queen the treasure the next day.

As Aben the wise went home that day, he could not stop thinking of the Queen, he was already in love with her. As he got closer to his house, he saw an old man who wanted to sell a talisman that he hanged on a chain. Aben the wise recognised the talisman, it was the famous talisman of King Solomon the wise. He knew that whoever bought the talisman can ask the talisman to direct him on what to do and what not to do.

Quickly he bought the talisman for a costly price of three pieces of silver from the old man. The old man happily gave him the talisman and as soon as he got the talisman, he ran home and locked himself in a room.
When he was sure no one saw him, he brought out the talisman and ask

"tell me, should i marry the beautiful Queen of the black isles?"

The talisman replied
"run for your life now that there is still time! The Queen of the black isles is very evil and she wants to destroy your life!"

Aben the wise was surprised, he thought the Queen loved him too because she was kind to him. He moved on to ask the next question. Since the talisman asked him to run, what would he do with treasure.

"What do I with the plenty Egyptian treasures?"

The talisman replied
"run from it, don't ever go into the treasure house again, because the more you go, the more your destruction comes to you. Anyone that has the treasure will surely be destroyed"
Aben the wise man became afraid, he thought of the demon and quickly asked.

"What of the demon Zadok, what do I do with him?"
The talisman replied once again
"Run for your life and escape, don't have anything to do with the demon again, because he his planning on how to destroy you

Aben the wise stayed awake throughout the night, he was thinking about what the talisman had said, it was very difficult for him to do what the talisman adviced. The next morning he got up from bed, took his bath and had his breakfast. Then he called Zadok the demon and asked him to take him to the evil queen's palace. Quickly the demon did as he commanded and transported him to the steps of the palace..

"Give me the staff of life and death"
the demon obeyed and gave him a wand that was half silver and half gold. With the staff Aben the wise man touched the steps of the evil Queen's palace and suddenly, every living thing in the palace became still as death.

"Zadok" Aben the wise called again "take me to the treasure house of the king of Egypt. And immediately the demon transported him there. When they got there, Aben the wise man drew a circle on the earth and cursed saying " no man, except the master of Zadok, King of demons of the earth would be able to enter here"

Aben the wise man then turn to the demon and asked to be transported to India, he took just a jar of gold money and a jar of silver money with him, the rest of the treasure he left behind. When he got to the India, he brought out a glass jar from under his cloth and turned to the demon to say
"Zadok the King of demons, I command you enter this jar"
The demon knew that Aben the wise man wanted to imprison him. He begged and pleaded that Aben have mercy on him but Aben the wise man would not listen to him. When the demon saw that Aben paid no listening ear to him, he cried with a loud voice and made the ground shook, and also the cloud went dark with his powers but still he had no choice than to go into the Jar.
When the demon entered the Jar, Aben the wise man sealed the jar and wrote a warning note on it, before he buried it deep in the ground. When he was true he brought out the talisman and asked
"Have I done everything you said I should do?"
But surprisingly the talisman replied.
"No! Why did you take from the treasure of the Egyptians, you are a fool, the treasure is cursed already, put it where no one would see it now that there is still time"

Aben the wise man obeyed and buried the jar of both the silver money and gold money deep in the ground. Then Aben the wise man started life all over again, he worked harder and began to sell and buy, he worked day and night and became a trader. Soon, little by little he became very rich again, he built a big mansion and made sure the big house was built upon to the jar of the silver money and the gold money, and also the glass jar where he sealed Zadok, the king of demons. He did all that so no one would ever find the money and the demon.

Then he married a young and beautiful woman, after a while the woman gave birth to a boy and died.

Aben the wise loved his son so dearly and gave him all he wanted. But his son was not wise like his father, be was foolish and so people called him Aben the fool.
Few years after Aben the wise died of old age and left all his belongings to his son, he also left the talisman to Aben the fool.
Aben the fool had not seen such amount of money before, he lived a rich man's life and made many friends, he didn't work hard like his father did, he spent all the money and bought all he wanted. He didn't ask the talisman for direction, he didn't see any reason to consult the talisman for wisdom. He threw parties, drinks and merriment with his friends every night. Soon all Aben the wise worked hard to make were all wasted.
After a few months all the money got finished, all his friends ran away from him. He was left alone and was now very poor. The officers of the city also came and seized all his properties because of the debts he owed. He was now left with nothing. Then he remembered the talisman of wisdom, quickly he went in search of the talisman and asked.
"Tell me, what do I do now that I have lost everything"
The talisman replied
"Go and work hard like your Father. And always come to me for advise, but don't ever dig the ground under the cherry tree"
Aben the wise pondered on what the talisman said "why did the talisman warn that I should not dig the ground under the cherry tree? I must go and dig to see for myself"

image

Aben the fool disobeyed the wise words of the talisman and went under the cherry tree to dig the ground. He dug and dug till his spade touch something, he quickly brought it out to discover that it was a jar full of silver money. On the jar his father had written a warning note that said.
"My son, this treasure is from the ancient Egyptians please listen to the talisman and be wise"
Aben the fool hissed and said "and they call it the talisman of wisdom, if I had listen to it I would not find this treasure"
He began to merry again but the money lasted for just a week and he became poor again.

He went back to the talisman and asked
"What do I do to save myself from poverty"
The talisman replied.
"Go and work hard but don't ever dig under the fig tree"
Aben the fool took his spade and hurried to the tree, he said to himself
"The other time, the talisman told me no to dig under the cherry tree I found silver money, maybe I will find more silver money under the fig tree"
He dug and dug till he found another jar of gold money. On it was a warning note written by his father.
"My son, my son, I warned you before, and I am warning you again, this gold is from the treasure of the ancient Egyptians, listen to what the talisman says"
Aben the fool did not listen to his father's warning, he used up all the money and after a month he was poor again. Quickly he went back to the talisman man and asked on how to become rich again.
"You are very foolish, go and work hard like you father and come to me for advice then you will become rich, but never go to the vault that is under this house, on the vault there is a red stone, do not touch the stone, do not go down to the vault"
As usual Aben the wise disobeyed the talisman and hurried down to the vault, Inside the vault he found a silver casket box with a warning note written by his father.
"You fool, you have been a fool for the first and second time, do not be a fool for the third time, returned this box and run for your life!"

Aben the fool didn't listen, he opened the box and found a glass jar, the moment he brought out the glass jar, it became very hot that he cried and let it fall to the ground. The jar burst open and thundered struck as the cloud went dark. Zadok the king of demons rose up. Aben the fool became scared and thought the demon would kill him.
"Who are you? He asked in fear
" I was a slave to your Father, now I am a slave to you ask me anything and I would so it for you"
Aben the fool quickly asked.
"Can you make me rich?"

"Yes, even richer than the king"
Aben the fool became very happy and quickly requested that the demon make him rich.
"Spend all you want to spend, the more you spend, the more money you will get" the demon said
"Do you want me to do something else for you?"
Aben the fool said no and the demon disappeared.
Aben the fool became very rich in gold, silver and precious stones.

*** He built mansions, castles and a palace more greater than the king. His fame traveled far and wide till it got to the ears of the king.
"Let us go and see for ourselves" the king said to his minister when he heard the story. And so they disguised themselves as travelers and went to Aben the fool. They were entertained like Kings, Aben invited them to sit with him under his canopy of gold. They bathed with perfumed water and clothes that shone with sliver were given to them***

They were led to a big Hall of merriment and partying and fed with delicious meals, because everyday in Aben's mansion was merriment.
The king and his minister left Aben's mansion with plenty gifts the next day, they were very surprised that they even witnessed more than what the people had told them.
"No man should be richer than the king, if I am in your shoes I would send for Aben and force him to tell me were he got his wealth" the minister told the king. The king agreed with him and sent for Aben.
"Tell me where you got all these treasures from"
He asked Aben when he came to the palace. Aben refused to tell the king even when the king pleaded. Soon the king got angry and raised his voice on Aben. Aben fell on his knees and told the truth about Zadok the king of demons.
"It was Zadok the king of demons that gave me the riches"
The king got angry even more, he thought Aben was trying to deceive him. He ordered his guards to flog Aben and throw him in prison. He also instructed them to flog Aben fifty lashes everyday until he was ready to tell him the truth.
