Just wanted to commemorate the birthday of one of Dayton's best ever writers, Paul Lawrence Dunbar ((June 27, 1872 – February 9, 1906).
He lived in a time that was hard for a black man in America, but his genius was able to shine through regardless!
I am proud to call him a fellow Daytonian, and may his legacy always be remembered!
