Scribe and Steemit - <3

Scribe Logo

A couple years ago, I co-founded a writing platform in Brazil called Scribe (wescribe.co). It's is a nice place for writers and readers to enjoy doing what they love most: reading and writing. While it doesn't make its users any money, they still love the user experience. I think Scribe's strength lies in the fact that we really care about the user experience and never hesitate to update and improve our interface. In addition to that, we also have a fantastic brand persona.

When we first launched, we quickly realized that users would need to talk to us constantly and be informed about the platform's development. It was in beta and not everything was working the way we expected so giving the users top-notch support really helped in forging a strong bond with them.

Steve Scriber

We knew we had to provide prompt and friendly support so to achieve this, we created Steve Scriber. Steve's a nice guy. He's always smiling, always positive, and he's always ready to talk to you. He made it possible to keep the conversation in one main channel. That probably sounds obvious and simple but hey, it works.

Here in Steemit as a newcomer, I admit, I'm lost. I don't understand who's in charge and who to talk to when I have a question. The UX is still very raw and lacks personality. I constantly have this sensation of not belonging here. For me everything looks too hacky and complicated.

I would love to modify Scribe and make it into a platform that allows my users to post their content onto Steemit through us but I'm not sure how this could be done. I'm not a blockchain specialist but I can imagine Scribe serving as an interface layer on top of Steemit that my Brazilian audience would feel more comfortable using.

If you agree with my assessment and would like to assist me with implementing my proposed modification, please contact me to discuss the matter.

And of course, I'd love your feedback about Scribe and would like to invite you to come and have a look. If it's going to function alongside Steemit, I'd love to get some feedback from their users to get a better idea of what they like, dislike, and would like to see in an interface.

Thanks,

-Eduardo

I like your simple UI. Do you have a Dark theme too? I think a good Markdown editor is necessary for better Steemit posts. 👍🏾

Hey @feedthemachine thank you! Not yet a dar theme but I'm considering it since people looks like enjoy this dark sites. Scribe is been developed in a slow pace. I aways prefer to create minimalistic interfaces that grow together with the new features.

Indeed it is still very raw. With the rapid growth I imagine they will hire more devs dor the GUI. Give it a few months and it should start looking better. I suggest talking with @ned @dan @val or @sdk on our slack channel :-)

Thanks @cryptoctopus ... I will try to talk with then. I'm sure Steemit will grow and become a incredible place. Also I want to give my contribution here.
