THE D4 PRINCIPLE

I'll explain using very unique and well known examples.

THE WRIGHT BROTHERS;

ORVILLE WRIGHT AND WILBUR WRIGHT, always working on

different mechanical projects ever since they set up their own

bike shop where they fixed damaged bicycles and sold out their

own designs, especially since the bicycle riding was the craze of the country as at that time.

The brothers kept up with the scientific researches and closely followed German aviator OTTO LILIENTHAL.

When LILIENTHAL died in a "glider crash", the brothers decided to develope their own successful design.

They headed out to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, known for its strong winds.

WILBUR and ORVILLE set out to work trying to figure out how to design wings for control and balance.

They developed a concept and called it," wing warning"

Adding a moveable rudder, the brothers happily discovered they had found the necessary formula.

On December 17 1903, they succeeded in flying the first free flight, controlled of a driven power, however heavier than an air plane.

Wilbur flew their plans for 59 second, 852 feet, an exceptional achievement.

People failed to believe or appreciate their success and neither did the press and their fellow flight experts. Wilbur set out to Europe, hoping to get a large audience, this he achieved in France. He made many public flights and gave rides to officials and statesmen.

In 1909, Orville along with their sister Katherine, joined Wilbur in Europe. They were constantly featured in press and were needed to sign contract and documents on the designing and creation of new planes.

  1. Discover

•know what is expected

•Study

•See the problem

•Creative imagination

  • Recovery begins with discovery

Under this principle, using the wright brothers as a case study, they discovered the problem, the need for a flight invention in the country. The man they looked up to as even better than them, died in a glider crash during one of his experiments. They saw the problem and it propelled them to act. They studied, they engaged their imaginations. They made discoveries and they seeked a solution.

2)Devotion

•Duty

•Discipline

•Determination

•Delve deeper

Until you see your goals as a duty you must perform and discipline yourself to carry plans out, determine to complete every task that is a step to achieving your goals and learn to delve deeper, to think, to explore, to discover, to want to know more about related success achieved in the past and how, you can't achieve your goals. The wright brothers didn't relent, they didn't lazy about or give up, they were focused, they were curious, they hungered for knowledge, they delved deeper, and disciplined themselves to complete tasks because they saw their goal as a duty to mankind. Imagine if they hadn't pressed on and imagined a world with flight planes, perhaps the craft we make use of would have been a dream buried alongside OTTO LILIENTHAL.

  1. Distinction
    •A set apart

•A cut above

•Finely separated

•Able to do more

•Able to exceed expectations.

When you set out to achieve goals, you must have a mind set to be different, to be unique, to be outstanding. You have to want to be able to do more, to have the urge to exceed expectations. Like they say, "You cannot lead a crowd if you're in it"

  1. Demand

•Natural

•Relevant

•Celebrated and wanted

After every goal has been achieved, in whatever field it might be, people crave for your achievements, they demand your work, they want to do more, they want to be like you, they demand your kind of achievements, they celebrate you because one way or the other you tend to add value to their world.
