CHAPTER 10: ALL ABOUT GENUIN (Formerly War (pt. 3))

[A limo pulls up in the parking lot. A number of people look at the limo while the driver comes out and has someone rolls out a red carpet that says “Chelsea Banks” and “Brent Banks” in gold glitter. The driver adjusts his clothes and hat as he opens the door. It takes a moment, but GENUIN comes out while on his Bluetooth.]

Genuin: Yeah? Okay well it better pay, last time I did a musical it was against someone’s jaw.

[He walks by the driver and enters the building.]

Well if he can’t do it and then tell the guy the guy that I, Genuin, the OCW Champion, deserve better than him.

[Leon and Sebastian Sin walk over to him.]

Leon: Genuin, hi. Do you have a minute?

[Genuin takes off his Bluetooth and put it in the jacket pocket of his two million dollar suit.]

Genuin: Did you do what I asked?

Sin: Yeah, easy, so do you have our part of the deal?

Genuin: It’s on the way, better than any cameras “what’s his face” ever gave you.

[Leon and Sin both smile wide. Genuin heads backstage, but Leon stops him again.]

Leon: No, that wasn’t what I was asking.

Genuin: What is it? I need to get to the ring.

[Leon is silent for a moment.]

Leon: Can I get your autograph?

[Genuin just stares at him blankly]

Genuin: Okay

[Genuin whips out a pen while Leon takes out a camera. Genuin then swaps the pen out for a permanent marker and signs Leon’s camera. Genuin then leaves while Leon looks dumbstruck]

Sin: He signed the camera?

[Leon nods while looking at it.]

Leon: Yeah.

Sin: We can see about

Leon: This camera is now a collector’s item!

[Genuin smiles hearing that and walks through the back. Chelsea and Brent can be heard arguing with officials, but it goes ignored completely. Genuin is almost at the entrance when he stops to see ZACK TOBIAS!!]

Genuin: Zack, are you here to be my bodyguard or something? I’m flattered, but I don’t need it.

[Genuin undoes the buttons on his suit jacket to reveal the OCW Title around his waist.]

I got this baby here to prove it.

Zack: Actually, I was waiting for you so I could personally tell you something. I’m winning the Lethal Lotto and taking that belt from you.

[Genuin nods]

Genuin: Well good luck with that, lord knows you’ve been so successful in the past at winning. I mean there was the no, wait, I won that. There was that no, that was me again.

[Zack shakes his head]

Zack: I’m gonna enjoy crushing your skull.

Genuin: Well just don’t mess up my hair and we can see about that.

[Back at ringside, Damian Cross, Doug Konway, Baal and John Walters are in the ring with Marvin Keith and Black Mask. The Blue Cold Habanero Pickles start playing a new song and Genuin emerges from the entrance ramp. All six in the ring take notice while Genuin takes off his sunglasses and puts them in his jacket pocket.]

Julius (OFF SCREEN): Look at how they just dropped everything for him.

Billy (Off Screen): He’s the OCW Champion, the man to beat and to-

LSD (OFF SCREEN): I’ve seen him in the movies man. That’s Genuin.

[Genuin takes a mic on the way to the ring and slides right in.]

Genuin: Okay, fight’s over, out of my ring.

[Mixed reaction from the fans as Black Mask and Marvin quickly roll out.]

Julius (OFF SCREEN): HA!

Billy (OFF SCREEN): They could care less about what happens to him.

Julius (OFF SCREEN): Not even Black Mask? That’s cold.

LSD (OFF SCREEN): Oh I heard things about how Genuin is a fake. Like, he uses stunt doubles and stuff.

Billy (OFF SCREEN): Larry, did you even read the roster sheet?

LSD (OFF SCREEN): What’s a roster sheet?

Genuin: Feeling the love.

[The mixed reaction of cheers and boos continues as Black Mask hops back over the guardrail to leave. Marvin heads up the ramp. Damien steps forward, looking disgusted, with the three others backing him up.]

Damien: Your ring? Yours?

Genuin: Yeah, I’m the champion and all the merchandise does say “OCW is Home.” So it’s safe to say I’m the guy in charge. Aside from management of course.

[Fox is seen watching while Genuin signals for all cameras on him.]

Damien: We have the Tag Titles with Baal and I, Konway holds the Xtreme and Lita-

Genuin: who isn’t here.

Damien: Four of us against the one of you. How many will follow me if I were to break you apart right here?

[Cheers and Genuin does a double take]

Billy (OFF SCREEN): They want to see that.

Genuin: Okay, first off, that’s not cool OCW fans. As for that, Gino can fund the after party at his place. Don’t expect to see these guys beating anyone this good looking up either. After what I have to say, I’m walking away cleaner now than I did going in.

[Damien grabs Genuin with both hands by the jacket. Genuin just stares at him while the fans cheer.]

Damien: Nobody is cleaner than our souls. You are a sinful demon that should be exorcised.

[Air horn goes off and the camera goes to GM Fox in her balcony seat.]

LSD (OFF SCREEN): That thing is cool.

[Julius is heard laughing]

Fox: Damien. You may want to hear him out; this concerns anyone that wants in on the Lethal Lotto Match for that lovely title shot guarantee.

[Camera back to Genuin and Damien.]

Genuin: More important, get your hands off this suit before I slap you with the dry cleaning bill.

[Damien lets go and Genuin straightens up his clothes.]

Fox (OFF SCREEN): All eyes on you.

[Genuin takes a breath]

Genuin: Wouldn’t have it any other way. Now let’s bring out my challenger, the number one contender: SULLY SPHINX!!

[Music plays and the fans cheer. Nobody seems to be coming out.]

Billy (OFF SCREEN): It’s not like Sully to take his time.

[Genuin checks his watch and leans against the ropes. More times goes by and nothing. Genuin shrugs and looks around. The camera goes backstage to show the door to Sully’s room is locked and barricaded. Sully can be heard banging around and yelling in the background. Camera goes back to Genuin]

Genuin: Okay, stop the music. Kind of disappointed, I wanted to stand here like a man to wish him good luck. Too bad my challenger isn’t man enough to do the same. Well, since it’s all about me, even though I tried to share the spotlight.

Julius (OFF SCREEN): This makes no sense at all, why would he “no show”?

Genuin: However, back to you and I, Damien, I have the ability to give a guaranteed spot into the Lethal Lotto Match to anyone I want. So Damien, your guys want my belt, five of you and three qualifying matches to go, safe to say not everyone is getting in. Notice your buddy Zack isn’t attacking me or even nearby? That’s because he wants the spot too.

Damien: You know what? We may not mind making sacrifices, which can be necessary sometimes. So maybe we don’t want or need your help. We have the almighty spirit, which is all we need.

Konway: PRAISE HIM!!

Genuin: Praise the guys behind you.

[All four Blood Angels turn around and MUGEN IS BEHIND THEM WITH TED THOMAS ON THE TOP ROPE!! Mugen battles with Baal and John while Ted leaps to connect with IN RING IMPACT!!]

Billy (OFF SCREEN): Oh my god!

Julius (OFF SCREEN): Now that’s an impact!

[Konway rolls out of the ring and Ted follows after him. John is knocked away while Mugen and Baal brawl. Damien is yelling at everyone while Genuin rolls out of the ring and laughs about it.]

LSD (OFF SCREEN): Ha! Genuin wins!

Billy (OFF SCREEN): Look!

[Damien shakes his head and SPEAR BY THE BLACK MASK!!]

LSD (OFF SCREEN): The Black Mask is back!

Julius (OFF SCREEN): I got to see the replay on that. Did he even leave? He must have just sat down or something.

[Black Mask hops to his feet and motions for the fans to cheer. Genuin applauds while Zack Tobias walks out and stops him.]

LSD (OFF SCREEN): Genuin isn’t free yet.

[Baal goes after Black Mask and grabs him by the mask and connects with a rear head-butt. John charges in and clotheslines both Mugen and himself out of the ring. Zack takes a folded steel chair and Genuin is backing away while trying to talk him down. Baal bounces Black Mask off the ropes and connects with a hard clothesline. Baal helps up Damien, but Black Mask slowly gets right back up! The fans cheer Black Mask for his strength and bravery.]

Julius (OFF SCREEN): Damien and Baal better watch out, we’ve seen this before.

[Black Mask runs over and FACE OF THE FACELESS (Leaping Reverse STO) ON DAMIEN CROSS!!]

Billy (OFF SCREEN): Damien is down again! Baal looks pissed!

[Marvin Keith comes back out and heading towards Zack. Zack sees and is ready with the chair, now claiming he’s trying to protect the champion instead. Marvin falls to his knees and Kristy is behind Marvin! Kristy climbs Marvin’s back like a ramp and HURRICANRANA ON ZACK TOBIAS!]

LSD (OFF SCREEN): Is everyone coming out?

Billy (OFF SCREEN): We need to keep this going, keep all cameras on the action.

[Genuin and Kristy stare down; Genuin looks over to stare down at Marvin. Genuin nods and walks away like nothing happened. Cameras follow Genuin out instead of staying around the ring.]

Genuin: Yeah, all eyes on me, none of those people matter.

[Jay Rizzo, a black man, gives Genuin a look.]

Jay: Excuse me? Those people?

Genuin: You didn’t see what I saw in the ring.

[Genuin keeps walking and is soon in the parking lot once more. Genuin claps his hands and the driver of the car heads to open this door.]

Driver: Sir, I should tell you that something

Genuin: I don’t pay you to think, I pay you to drive. Now get me to the after party, I want in the VIP section ASAP!

[Genuin gets in and the driver does the same. Genuin takes a breath.]

Sully (OFF SCREEN): Long day? Me too.

[Genuin slowly looks over to see SULLY SPHINX IN THE LIMO WITH HIM!! Genuin tries to open the door, but the doors are locked.]

Genuin: Driver!

[Sully pulls Genuin onto his back and begins attacking him while the car begins to drive away.]
