So, last game had some discussion going, but I want more!
So, question of the day:
Would you rather choose to get 1 million dollars OR that 100 million dollars would be given to people in need?
P.S. All the money of second scenario, actually receives the families in need. No stealing, cheating, and scamming is done by the charities, so taking 1 million just because you don't trust in system cannot be a choice.
My answer: I honestly don't know at the moment. Maybe I will have an answer after you give me some great thoughts...

Ouch this is a hard one! I would love to at least get the credit for helping those in need. Maybe they can use some of the money to buy some of my coloring books!? LOL!
My greedy side wants to take the 1 million for myself. But I think Ultimately because there is more benefit out of the 100 million that I would do that!
Great answer. About the books: if those people would want to buy those books on their free will, than yes, but I cannot force it even in my theoretical world lol
And what if you get zero credit for being good? Of course, being batman is harded than being ironman, but doing good should be the main driving force, right?
It depends on what you mean by "given to people in need".
A lot of so called charities are fronts for extortion.
This, theoretical one, is a real thing, so families would receive all the money and help!

okay....if I had 100 million dollars to CREATE any organization to help people I would, but I don't think charities help people in the long run.
If it had to go to a charity, I'd take the million, but If I could create my own orginization to help the world, id take 100 million.

...well the first thing I'd do is start a world wide organization to get groups of 100 people each to meditate at sacred sites while holding the intention of world peace to increase collective consciousness and boost awareness. It has been proven by science that our minds are all connected in someway....like a universal mind.
and build a few soverighn communities with golden pyramids to reach the same goal.

One of my heroes, Christopher Hitchens, of whom I am sure you are/were aware, advocated that the solution to poverty is the empowerment of women to earn. I am a supporter of microfinance, the lowest debt delinquency globally, IF, it is a loan based upon a community sanction.
Collective responsibility has a strong motivation. The secret is how to reinvest into education, education, education!
You know my answer already my friend - if you give it away, it will return (I am not advocating the biblical 7-fold) - if you get $1million out of the blue, what happens? Most lottery winners ... broke and miserable. Learning the value of money is a lesson in life. The stewardship of money ... nobody is a bad driver and nobody is bad at sex, according to them, right?

Yeah, I agree on that part of having something out of blue. However, one of the best quality of human-being is to make stupid excuses when he wants something badly, right? Greed versus sanity.

I have to be honest and say that I would take the million for myself. Not because I am a greedy bastard, but because at this point in my life I could really use that money. I have debts that need paying off, a son that will be going to college in a handful of years, and I need to take care of him first and foremost.
That is more than fair! Gotta take care of your stuff first, before saving others!

As a parent, I hear you. Costs are only numbers. What if you were to say to your child, right, we need to get you through college - but the condition is take another 9 children with you - it is only numbers!
