Quick review of World of Tanks

World of Tanks is free to play MMO arcade tank shooter developed by Wargaming.inc, a Belorussian company.
Things you should know about WoT:

1. Tank classes
   Heavy tanks - Just like you’d imagine…big, slow, heavily armored, big guns.

   Medium tanks - Best in acting like a support tanks and should attack from the flank or second line attack, very versatile, all-rounders.

   Light tanks - Very fast, lightly armored and scouts .

   Tank destroyers - They can vary a lot depending on the nation… but they have usually big and very dangerous guns, bad armor, and mediocre speed.

   Artillery - Camping twats that sit at the corner of the map, click shift, aim and destroy and annoy enemy team.

2. Nations
   USA, Germany, USSR, France, Great Britain, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Japan, China, and soon to come Italy

3. Progression
   At the same time the best and the WORST part of the game…
   Best part: The progression is very simple. You have the “credits”, the main currency of the game that is used to buy tanks and modules. You earn credits after every battle in amount that depends on your performance and whether your team wins or loses.
   “Experience” is the currency earned by playing with tank that you own. You get it after every battle in amount that depends on your performance in battle and whether your team wins or loses and is used to research new tanks and modules.
   “Free experience” is same as the “experience” but you get much less (5% of experience earned) and can be used for every tank instead for one that you played in.
   And the WORST part about this game is “GOLD”.
   “Gold” is currency that can only be bought by real money, and it is used to buy “premium ammo” that is straight up better, “premium time” and while it’s active you get 50% more credits and xp and “premium tanks” that I am going to explain in just a second…

4. Main categories of tanks

   1. “Standard tanks”- just standard tanks that can be obtained by everyone
   2. “Premium tanks”- for me, it is a main reason why WoT is partially broken. You can buy premium tanks (with real money or gold) that are overpowered, and because of that earns more credits and experience in the game. They didn’t used to be like that in earlier versions of the game, but as times goes, they´re just implementing more and more OP premium tanks.

Conclusion: WoT is a good arcade free to play tank shooter and sure it is worth downloading, but the game is partially pay to win once you start to understand the game and once you find yourself in high tier tanks. My personal opinion is that Wargaming.inc does not force any player to spend even a cent in a game, it is purely player´s choice.
