What About Downvoting Witnesses?
Currently, we are able to vote for a witness, but how about being able to vote against a witness? There's no way I could ever find enough witnesses worthy of a vote to fill all my slots, but I could easily use every slot I have for a downvote.
Hell, it would give me a reason to power up.
Just repeating a comment of mine, because lazy:
Good idea. Maybe we should also reduce the number of witness votes we get to 10, so not all top-20 witnesses can vote for eachother directly, and besides, who can identify twenty good witnesses anyway?
Some other tweaks for witness voting may also be in order. What we have now, DPOS with the wealth distribution as it is, just isn't as decentralised as it perhaps could be, and will resist changes that benefit the out-crowd.
But then, maybe all DPOS systems tend towards centralisation through increasingly lopsided wealth distributions, being decentralised de jure but de facto run and controlled by a conglomerate of 20, only with a less efficient infrastructure than a fully centralised system.

Yes, it would seem that every possibility must be. But what truly is the nature of being? What is and what isn't? What is being? The essence of it?
