unclean in Makkah, we know that the reward of prayer in the Grand Mosque3eeMosque is 100,000 times from prayer in other mosques.

From Jabir, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

صلاة فى مسجدى أفضل من ألف صلاة فيما سواه إلا المسجد الحرام وصلاة فى المسجد الحرام أفضل من مائة ألف صلاة فيما سواه

"Prayers in my mosque (Prophet's Mosque) are more than 1000 prayers in other mosques other than the Harom Mosque. Prayers at Harom Mosque are more than 100,000 prayers in other mosques. "(Narrated by Ahmad 3/343 and Ibn Majah no. 1406, from Jabir bin 'Abdillah. Shaykh Al Albani said that this hadith is authentic. See Sahih At Targhib wa At Tarhib No. 1173.)

But does that apply only to the Grand Mosque or throughout Makkah?

The Fatwa Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al Lajnah Ad Daimah was asked, "Are the rewards of prayer in all places in Makkah multiplied the same as praying at the Grand Mosque itself? Then, do sinners also multiply their sins as well as good?

The scholars who sat on the commission answered,

In this problem, there are cross opinions between the scholars. The strongest opinion, the multiplication of rewards applies generally to all illegitimate lands (throughout Makkah). Because in the Qur'an and Sunnah, all places in Makkah are called the Grand Mosque.

Whereas regarding immorality, the number of sins is not multiplied either in unclean land or otherwise. The sin is multiplied from the wrongdoing done (kaifiyah), varies between sins, there is a very heavy sin, there is a strong reply because it is done at certain times and places, as is done in the month of Ramadan, in the noble unclean land, in Medina Al Munawwaroh and the like. Because Allah the Exalted says,
