Christian Worship - More Than Music
Christian Worship - More Than Music
It is often thought that Christian worship is the musical part of a church service: people sing songs for God, with their heads on the back, their eyes closed and their hands in the air. Christian worship takes place when we sing to God, whether in the church or when we are alone; in our car or in the shower. If our desire is to please the heart of God, then there is worship, no matter where we are and how many people are involved.
Music influences our emotions and the lyrics can make our hearts beat faster, which can lead to us losing ourselves in this experience. Christian music for praising and worshiping God is a great tool that may make us feel that we are closer to God. It is not exceptional that people even choose a municipality on the basis of the style of music used in worship. Often people come out of a church service with the words: "The music was beautiful today" or "The message was good, but the "praise & worship really did something in me".
You may be surprised that the whole worship is meant to worship God!
Happy Sunday.
Have a blessed and fruitful week.
